Platinum Patching Scheduling Tool
Oracle EXADATA engineered system offers Platinum Support, This Platinum support includes free EXADATA bundle patching.
Bundle Patching:
Bundle patching is nothing but it is patching of entire EXADATA engineered system with quarterly released patch from oracle, Exadata Bundle patching include below components
--- YUM patching
--- CELL patching
--- IB Switch patching
--- DB Home patching
--- Database patching
This bundle patching will be done by Oracle Engineer.

Oracle Scheduling Portal:
Assuming we have 2 exadata boxes RAC1 and RAC2, Once the platinum setup the gateways and monitoring OEM they will provide you the gateway URL as mentioned below

Passwd: XXXXXXXX
RAC2:https:// 192.168.1.2
ID: rmallikarjun
Passwd: XXXXXXXX
How to schedule a patching slot with oracle?
1. Login to portal
2. Click on Patch Compliance
3. Click on Create Patching request and provide all the details based on the patching request and which all components you want to patch select them
4. Once the above patching request template filled click on the continue button at the bottom.
You need to select patching date based on the available dates slots from the calendar shown on the window
Select the desired patch /required QFSDP release shown on the window
5. Once patching date and desired patch both are selected click on the confirm bottom at the bottom of the screen. You will see the screen that confirms your patching request.
6. Once the patching request is successful and you will get email with SR# number.
